Ford and LEGO have teamed up to create a very unique Ford Explorer. At first glance this Ford Explorer looks just like the Explorer sitting in a Ford showroom, but if you look closer you will notice one big difference. This Explorer has been created using more than 380,000 LEGO bricks. The LEGO Explorer has been constructed at Ford’s plant in Chicago to kick off a new long-term partnership between Ford and the LEGO’s newest LEGOLAND theme park in Florida.
“Ford is excited to support the alliance between LEGOLAND Florida and the Southeast Ford dealers. The LEGOLAND Florida Explorer and the Ford Driving School attraction are great opportunities to showcase our products and safety messages to families and visitors in a unique way,” said Tracy Magee, Ford Experiential Marketing manager.

The red LEGO Explorer took over 2,500 hours to create and weights 2,654 pounds. The LEGO Explorer is now set to make the trek from Chicago to its new home in Florida via a trailer with transparent sides so that motorists can check out the special Explorer.
Part of the new partnership also includes a Ford Driving School at the theme park with the driving school being divided into two groups. The Ford Junior Driving School for children ages 3 to 5 years old and a Ford Driving School for those ages 6 to 12. The children get to watch a video with safety driving tips and even get to drive electric vehicles on curb roads with speed limits up to 3 mph.
LEGOLAND Florida opens on October 15th.
